lord-Hopkins Collection Audubon Octavo Quadruped - Common American Skunk
Uncovered in 1923 with a trove marked pattern prints from J. T. Bowen’s Philadelphia studio. This print is from the last group of prints known to have come out of Bowen’s studio. (Imperial and Octavo quadrupeds and Octavo Birds) Well-worn, it is most likely a pattern print used during the time Bowen lithographed Audubon’s quadrupeds. This print speaks to the history of American printmaking. A once in a generation historic find. Reasonably priced. Condition as shown. COA included.
