Found by accident in 1923 with marked pattern prints from J. T. Bowen’s Philadelphia studio. COA included. Condition as shown. This print is from the last group of prints known to have come out of Bowen’s studio. Well-worn, it is possible that it too was used as a pattern print during the time Bowen lithographed Audubon’s quadrupeds. This print speaks to the history of American printmaking. A once in a generation historic find. Reasonably priced.
