1781 Revolutionary War Connecticut "Cessation Bond" – Complete with Interest Endorsements Through 1789
Original Revolutionary War treasury bond issued by the State of Connecticut on February 1, 1781, during the final years of the American Revolution.
Certificate No. 881, issued for £24 5s 4d, promises repayment in Spanish Milled Dollars or equivalent Gold or Silver Coin upon the expiration of the war or a "Cessation of Hostilities between Great Britain and these United States."
