Printed in Philadelphia by Hall & Sellers, the famous printing firm that succeeded Benjamin Franklin's printing business, this note was issued under authority of the Pennsylvania Assembly prior to the American Revolution.
Features the Penn family coat of arms on the face and the characteristic anti-counterfeiting design on the reverse. Hand-signed by contemporary issuing officials.
