The Leipzig Edition was printed in Germany in the 1970's on paper measuring 27 x 37 1/2 inches. Five hundred bound sets were sold in two volumes. The print you see here was from volume two, which consisted of horizontal images. You will see binding holes along the top edge of the print. This is not a lithograph or giclee, but a collotype, which depended upon the skill of the craftsmen for an accurate reproduction.
